On behalf of the Early Childhood team I would like to welcome you to our CCHS family!
In our program we serve students from 1-year-old (Nido) through 4 years old (Pre-kinder). We provide an environment in which students have the opportunity to actively explore and construct their own learning through a variety of materials, and extensive space to utilize in order to engage in experiences that are meaningful and fun.
All aspects of child development are considered providing daily opportunities for students to reach important milestones while setting the foundation for future academic and social emotional development.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our teaching team guide students in exploring and discovering their interests while fostering curiosity, creativity, independence and self-confidence.
During these early years we instill the joy and love for learning.
We believe in building strong partnership with families, providing opportunities for open communication
and collaboration in students’ learning.
We are looking forward to being part of your child’s exciting learning journey at CCHS!

Curriculum Overview
The Early Childhood program at CCHS is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach. We are a non-traditional school in which students are treated as individuals full of ideas and striving to learn. Our curriculum provides opportunities for students to develop in different areas through specials classes such as, Movement, Art, Performing arts, Authentic explorations, and Library. The social-emotional area is a key component of our philosophy providing multiple opportunities for students to develop social competencies.
